These two walnut side tables were made as a bespoke commission for a client who had recently refurnished her lounge. The wood type was chosen to complement the new chairs and sofa and the rest of the decor in the room. The table tops (32cm in diameter) are small enough to fit in-between the seating without looking congested, but also roomy enough to have a cuppa and a book within easy reach. The table height was designed specifically to fit with the height of the new seats, for easy access.
The tables are made from solid walnut and finished with a wax/oil polished to a nice sheen which shows off the rich colour of the walnut wood.
A similar design of table can be made to your own requirements with different sized top and different height, to suit your own specific requirements. The tables can also be made from a range of other wood types to match your own decor and preference. For example we could use creamy and light coloured Ash, Sycamore or Maple. Perhaps nicely figured oak to match some existing furniture or a reddish cherry which works very well in smaller pieces of furniture.
